GEOGRAPHY

Russian Art Week has been held since 2007. Over this period, more than 12,500 artists from 37 countries and 238 cities have taken part in it.

NOMINATIONS

The competition program covers virtually all areas of fine and applied arts.

JURY

The jury includes more than 50 experts from Russia and abroad — art historians, gallerists, curators, renowned artists, designers, and patrons.

Sections of the exhibition

Painting — from classical portrait and landscape to bold avant-garde experiments, from abstraction that conveys emotions through color and form to conceptual canvases where every image becomes a statement. At Russian Art Week, both impeccable academic mastery and an innovative approach to canvas and brush are valued.

Graphic Art — the art of line, stroke, and spot, where expressiveness is born in the contrast of light and shadow. In this category, you can submit a drawing, a watercolor improvisation, velvety pastel, printmaking (etching, linocut, lithography), or an illustration that brings the literary world to life through a unique authorial interpretation.

Sculpture — volume and plasticity, frozen movement and the breath of form. Sculpture in the round, relief, small-scale sculpture, new materials and bold constructive solutions — here any work becomes a dialogue with space, and authorship manifests in every facet, every line born by the master's hand.

Monumental Art — scale addressed to the city and to the individual. Wall panels, mosaics, frescoes, stained glass, sgraffito, and street art — these disciplines work with architectural context, transforming space, creating emotional resonance, and entering into dialogue with the history of the place and its inhabitants.

Art Textile — the art where thread becomes language and fabric becomes a canvas for endless stories. Batik, tapestry, embroidery, quilting, lace, and artistic weaving — here every stitch and every knot carry the memory of culture and the breath of modernity. Textile speaks to us through texture, color, and the rhythm of pattern, turning everyday materials into unique works of art.

Decorative and Applied Art — a space where tradition intertwines with the artist's individual style. Ceramics and glass, wood and metal, tapestry, art dolls, and folk crafts — in every work lives the soul of the material and the craftsmanship of hands, turning a utilitarian object into a work of art.

It is important to participate, interesting to watch, and useful to listen.
That is exactly how one can describe the atmosphere of Russian Art Week — a place where creativity, education, and communication merge into a single flow of inspiration. Russian Art Week is not just an exhibition, a fair, and a competition. It is a map of the contemporary Russian art world, marking all the main directions: from familiar painting and graphic art to bold digital experiments and monumental forms.

In addition to the exhibition and competition programs, Russian Art Week offers participants and guests an extensive educational and business program: master classes and lectures, conferences, business meetings, presentation sessions for artists, and a unique format — the "Art Ring," where leading experts engage in a lively dialogue about trends and the future of art.
